Basics

  • Nation points are used to level up guilds. Guild members donate their nation points to the guild at a Castle Keeper or at their nation's commander in the capital city. If you are not in a guild, you cannot turn in your nation points.
  • Players earn nation points for every PvP kill they participate in, as a proportion of total damage dealt.
  • Players lose up to 500 nation points each time they die in PvP and PvE. This includes fall damage and drowning.
  • Press (F2) and click on My Profile to see your nation points.

How Nation Points are Earned and Lost

  • A full solo kill on a player will give 500 NP. Killing the same player repeatedly will give fewer points with each kill. Players who have been killed many times do not award NP.
  • You receive Nation Points as a proportion of total damage dealt to the killed player and damage blocked from that player.
  • A player who is unconscious and is then revived does not award NP, only a player who dies and respawns gives nation points.
  • Nation points are not earned or lost in the Valley of Death Tournament.
  • Killing Greenleaf players does not award nation points.

Secured and Unsecured Nation Points

  • Nation points exist in two pools: secured and unsecured. All nation points are earned as unsecured NP.
  • When you die in PvP or PvE, you lose up to 500 unsecured nation points.
  • When you die, you lose up to 500 unsecured NP, and everything over that threshold automatically becomes secured NP, and you start again with 0 unsecured NP.
    • Example 1: If you had 1,220 unsecured NP on you and you died, when you respawn you will have 0 Unsecured NP and 720 Secured NP.
    • Example 2: If you had 350 unsecured NP on you, when you respawn you will have 0 unsecured NP and 0 secured NP when you respawn.
  • Secured NP is cumulative and persistent through deaths. After each death and respawn, your secured NP can grow up to a maximum of 20,000 points.
  • Secured NP cannot be lost at all. It is safe on your character no matter how many times you die.
  • You can turn in Unsecured Nation Points to the guild as well.
  • When turning in your nation points to the commander or castle keeper, you can select how many to turn in. This is useful if you want to keep 2k on you for the Fighter buff.
  • Traitors do not earn NP for killing members of their own faction.
  • At 1,000 unsecured nation points, the player receives the "Fighter Buff" which reduces their respawn time by 5 seconds. This is an effective way to reduce the time your character can be looted. This buff is active for as long as the 1,000 point threshold is met.

How Nation Points Become Guild Points

  • Nation Points can be donated to guilds after PvP engagements at the Nation Commander in the capital city or at a Castle Keeper NPC at a guild province. The Nation Points then automatically become Guild Points which contribute to the guild's level. You can see your guild members total guild points contribution on the "members" tab of the guild screen.
  • Guild Points are essentially XP for Guilds. The higher level the guild is, the better defenses it can build at guild provinces and the more members it can have. Leveling up a guild is critical to being able to compete for and hold a guild province.
  • The member roster shows how many nation points have been donated to the guild by each member.
  • If you are not in a guild, you carry your Nation Points with you at all times.
  • If you leave the guild or are kicked from the guild, your Guild Points are permanently lost.
  • Important Note: Nation Points are account bound, not character bound. You can earn Nation Points on one character and turn them in on another character. This is especially useful if you have characters who are in several different guilds or alt characters whom you do not want to donate points on.
