Beginners Questlines
We encourage you to do the questlines because they provide you with various useful things, but you need to know that completing them is not mandatory. You can leave them unfinished. They are not required to experience every aspect, event, or activity in the game. Many of the quests are tutorials or designed to aid players in levelling.
- Character experience - While doing and finishing the quests from the questline, you will progress very fast. The max level is 100, and if you focus on doing it, you will end up with level 50. In the very first 30 minutes of the questline, which are just 2 stages, you will earn almost level 20, which lets you join the Valley of Death Tournament and the Siege Castle event, which starts right after. These are PvP events which are safe to join and have fun in between the quests and other activities.
- Solid equipment - You will be rewarded with a bunch of items from quests, from loot drops and chests you will find on your path. You will end up having tier 3 items by just doing the questlines.
- Character Development - Upon receiving better gear and killing encountered mobs, you will progress your character skills in wielding and wearing better weapon and armour.
- Gold - You will need that to buy yourself food, equipment or spend it on fast travel to world map locations.
There is more!
Gloria Victis has more to offer than just the quests and events. The game doesn't end once you finish the questline or feel tired of doing it. Gloria Victis has multiple activities you can do right away, and the most fun are the ones which you are doing alongside your nationfolks or guildmates. **__Almost every activity gives you character experience.__**
- Are you looking for PvP actions, check this thread How to jump into PvP.
What else can you do in Gloria Victis?
- Guild Island - Create your own guild, level it up to level 10 and buy a Guild Island where you can build your own castle from scratch!
- Become a Feudal lord! - The feudal system is a mechanism that allows any guild to take control of the location it wants.
- Crafting - In-game economy is shaped by the players and by the goods they make. You can sell them on the market, which is global, so it includes all nations and all servers or at the local booth stall.
- Raw resource gathering - Roam around the world map to find the best resourcers, or you can harvest them in the mines and lumbers.
- Planting and Harvesting - Each major location has a field where you can plant your crops and care for them to speed up the growing process. Additionali you can take care of the farm animals.
- Roaming and Discovering - Tame yourself a horse and start discovering the world. Search for resourcers, small NPC camps with loot chests, and finish occasional world events. You may have a lot of fun just discovering the world map alone or with friends.
- Building and upgrading castles - Players have to build and upgrade the nation's castles from scratch, and then they have to maintain them.
- Deticated Guild Events - Guilds are gaining "Guild activity" points, which are summarised once a week and based on the result, guilds are receiving special keys that allow them to start an event with high rewards.
Worth knowing information
- Greenleaf grants newcomers some benefits:
- Reputation is earned by participating in events, killing enemy players and NPCs. Reputation is lost by attacking and killing members of your nation.
- Fast travel is also known as teleporting. There are several ways to fast travel.
- The Logistician is an NPC located within the walls of every location.
- Horses spawn in various locations throughout the map, and each nation has a few spawns near its capital city.
- Parties may be joined remotely from anywhere on the map with the Party Finder. Press [P] button to open the Party Finder window.
- Gloria Victis has a partial loot system, which places limitations on looting downed players. Gloria Victis has a variety of loot enabled and loot disabled events and areas to fit many playstyles.
- The Depot is a safe, account-wide place to store gear, materials and money. The depot is accessible at the capital city near the starting spawn, major cities on the Link System, and guild provinces.
- The Market is a place for players to buy and sell goods. The market is global, so it includes all nations and all servers, ensuring lively commerce. Markets are found in capital cities near the respawn area and in guild provinces.
