How to jump into PvP

From Gloria Victis

Joining PvP content in Gloria Victis does not require any grinding. You can jump straight into the action and take part in battles over locations as soon as you create your character and enter the game.

Castle sieges and PvP battles take place across the world map in real time, driven organically by player activity and regular siege events.

Monitor the map

To jump into the action, you need to know where things are happening. The easiest way to track ongoing activity is by observing the world map. Your nation shares borders with two hostile nations, so look for lit or burning location icons. These indicate ongoing battles or other activities in the area.

Look for active parties

Pressing [P] opens the Party Finder window, where you can view available parties. Most of them are open to the public, allowing you to join a group, see where other players are located on the map, and head into action together.

Logistician

In every capital city and major location, you can find a Logistician who can fast-travel you to locations controlled by your nation, as long as they are within your motherland’s range and not under attack. A burning icon on the map indicates that a location is currently under attack.

Siege Events

Sieges begin automatically after each Valley of Death Tournament, but they can also occur randomly throughout the day. Reaching level 18 allows you to receive siege notifications and gain access to direct teleportation to besieged locations. However, you can still join sieges manually at any level by using a Logistician to travel as close as possible and then riding there on horseback.

Valley of Death Tournament

To join this event, you must be at least level 15. The event takes place multiple times each day — press [U] to view the schedule. It is a great way to begin exploring the PvP side of the game and gain your first combat experience.

Arena

The Arena is the perfect place to learn and practice combat mechanics. It features 1v1 duels, group fights, siege engines, and training NPCs that help players improve their combat skills. Accessible from level 1, the Arena provides unlimited opportunities to train and earn character experience.
