Decay

Perishable items decay over time. They turn into fertilizer when they decay. Items with a decay timer will have a blue bar across the bottom of the icon. As the bar shrinks, the closer it is to decaying.

Stacking fresher items with items that are about to decay will average the time remaining on the items.

Perishable items include: carcasses, raw leather, meals, food ingredients, crops, alcohol, and alchemical mixtures.

Items will decay whether you are online or not, and whether they are in the depot, inventory, a player stall, or on the market.
