/Votespy is a command designed to send troublesome players away from the area.

If you suspect a player of intentionally sabotaging your group at a siege, type /votespy Name to start a votespy vote. This will prompt other nearby players to vote Yes or No on the accusation. If the vote succeeds, the player will be teleported away.

All /votespy accusations are reviewed by the developers. Players found falsely accusing others will face consequences. Votespy should be used sparingly and players should keep screenshots and video of the incident as well. Players will be asked to provide evidence if they vote in a votespy accusation.

Votespy should be only used if a player is unresponsive to polite requests to change unhelpful and damaging behavior during a siege, including:

  • purposely spamming door opening/closing
  • purposely dropping oil at bad times
  • purposely occupying siege equipment but not using it to harm enemies
  • purposely clogging up a doorway to prevent friendlies from entering/exiting.

This is not an exhaustive list of activities that votespy can be used for, but it lists the most common ones.

Votespy should NOT be used if:

  • the player's actions are not directly harming the siege event
  • the player doesn't want to join the party
  • the player does not use chat
  • the player is not fighting
  • the player does not want to join any external discord
  • the player is an unknown name or in an unknown guild or not in any guild
  • the player "looks" suspicious

Please remember you can REPORT any player by using the Report Player option in the ESC menu. In most cases, reporting a player is the better option than votespying the player. Moderators will carefully review votespy and player reports to ensure fair outcomes for all parties.
