Crafting Inn
Crafting Inn events are a special quest which require you to deliver certain items and in turn will reward you with some of the most valuable materials in the game.
Locations
File:CraftingInn.pngThe crafting events spawn at seven different locations on the map and if active will be shown with this symbol.
Locations:
- At the harbour of each capital, these are in the safe zone. This one has lower rewards due to being in the safe zone.
- At the three crafting inns, which are located halfway between each nation, near the edges of Native Territory. These have better rewards than the ones in capital because there is more risk. This has better rewards than the one in capital because there is more risk.
- Pilgrim's Rock near the center of the map. This has better rewards than the one in capital because there is more risk.
Required items
Crafting events will require you to deliver certain items. These items can be weapons, tools, armour or stackable items. Most crafters carry a sufficient amount of the stackable items and will craft weapons and armour on the spot. Other crafters have at least some ready-made items, however you won't be able to carry enough of everything with you. Depending on the event, you’ll need to deliver between 4 and 40 of the required item, so make sure you have sufficient inventory space for that.
The required skills are Tailoring and Leatherworking, Armoursmithing, Weapon Forging and theoretically Engineering. The highest required level is 49. Until you reach it, you might have to live with not being able to complete all the Crafting Inn events.
Raw materials
In order make all craftable items, you should carry the following with you. You will not need ALL these items to create the requested material, but you may need any number of them:
- Logs
- Poles
- Planks
- Handles
- Wood billets
- Charcoal
- Coal
- Steel bars
- Steel rivets
- Iron lumps
- Short nails
- Siderite
- Flax threads
- Flax twine
- Flax canvas
- Decatized flax canvas
- Leather strap
- Thin tanned leather
- Tanned leather
- Thick tanned leather
These items are all relatively cheap, do not expire and you’ll need them for crafting in general, thus make sure you have a healthy supply of them at all times.
Oak logs/poles/planks/handles are recommended for the wood since they can used for all recipes, with the exception of the wooden shield, which requires pine planks.
Some crafting events will require some of the following items, since they are all stackable, it’s recommended to carry them with you already, ideally twice or more the required amount:
- 25 Horn
- 30 Lime Mortar
- 6 Aqua Fortis
- 65 Tannin
- 30 Long Nails
- 20 Decatized Flax Canvas
- 20 Chamotte
- 20 Leather Sacks
- 300 Herbs
The herbs are the only items which expire (within 7 days), thus you might have to replace them from time to time. The more expensive items (e.g. Aqua Fortis) should be in smaller stacks to prevent too many of them being looted at once.
Buying items You can get a few items cheaper from NPCs than you can craft them yourself. Thus, you can consider buying and carrying them with you, provided that you have sufficient inventory space. This is of course especially recommended, if you cannot make those items yourself yet.
Common items to buy are Veles' Shields, Journeyman's Axe and Pickaxe, which are all required in batches of 8 per crafting event. They are sold from Armoursmiths and Weaponsmiths respectively, provided that the bastion's level is high enough.
Reward Once you have completed an event, you have choice between the following rewards:
Based on current market prices it’s best to take elite quilted canvas at the harbour and bulat bars at the crafting inns and Pilgrim’s Rock. You also get 50 contribution points at the harbour and 100 at the other locations and some experience and money. As a side effect you of course gain the crafting experience from making the respective items as well.
