Negative reputation results in a traitor status debuff. Players with traitor status are sent to "Traitor Island" when they die and must do penal work quests to increase their reputation. There is a debuff of several hours to several days (depending on their reputation level) which must be burned off in game. This debuff does not resolve while offline.

Players with traitor status debuff cannot capture flags, use tents, use logisticians to teleport, access depots or markets, or enter guild provinces. They are kill on sight to their nation and their nation's NPC guards. Traitors may not loot their own nation members.

Players who are traitors show up with a red health indicator and a skull icon.
