Renovation Kits give you the opportunity to restore the durability of an item. It is possible to repair an item to its full base durability with renovations. Renovations are an expensive way to repair equipment, and are usually best reserved for gear that is very high tier and high quality.
Renovation kits do NOT increase the Quality of the item. However, Reinforcement Kits do increase item quality.
| Kit name | Frontier Guard Tokens | Recipe Location | Meteoric Iron |
| Common Renovation Kit | 800 | Frontier Guard Commander | 5 |
| Decent Renovation Kit | 1200 | Frontier Guard Commander | 15 |
| Master Renovation Kit | 2400 | Frontier Guard Commander | 60 |
Right click the renovation kit in inventory, left click on the the item to renovate and open the renovation/reinforcement window.
- Renovation Kit's chance of success is based on:
- The item's tier and quality
- The Renovation Kit's quality
The higher the tier and higher the quality of an item, the harder it will be to renovate.
- A failed renovation will not destroy the item.
Durability
In order to renovate the item, the item needs to have current durability equal to its max durability. Visit any NPC vendor to repair your item if necessary.
Remember that durability is displayed as: current/max(base)
If the item doesn’t meet this requirement, an error will be shown.
If the durability on the item is still fairly high and the renovation kit could replenish more than what has been lost, a popup will appear where the player has to accept that they understand that it will repair less than what the renovation kit has to offer. If you receive this message, consider "wearing out" the item's durability a little more before renovating. Renovating too early is like "topping off" an almost full glass.
In the image above, The item on the top is eligible for Renovation because the current/max durability matches. The item on the bottom is not eligible for Renovation because the current/max durability does not match. If the durability does not match, vist an NPC vendor and repair there, then do your renovation.
- Each successful renovation attempt will result in adding 20% of the base durability to the current durability of an item. For example, if we have 3000/3000 item with 4500 base durability, after successful renovation it will have 3000 + 20% * 4500, so 3900/3900(4500). With an additional successful renovation, the item will reach its base durability, so it will be 4500/4500(4500).
