Crowns are the primary currency system in Gloria Victis. Crowns are organized so that 100 of a denomination equals 1 of the next denomination, similar to how 100 pennies = 1 dollar.

100 copper = 1 iron
100 iron = 1 silver
100 silver = 1 gold

Crowns are looted off of NPCs, and given as rewards for quests and daily challenges, and are used to buy and sell goods.

Crowns are not lootable from player inventories.

Other currencies include: Contribution Points, Glory, and Ambers. Many items which can be purchased with these currencies can also be purchased with Crowns. For example, if a player chooses to buy an item from the Glory Vendor with Contribution Points, he may sell it on the market for Crowns, thereby converting one currency into another.
