Disassembly is part of the Character Development system and allows players to dismantle weapons and armor. Disassembling items yields materials, Experience, and a chance to learn the recipe of the item. Progression on this tree starts at the bottom, with disassembling gray, tier 1 items.

The Disassembly Character Development tree.

To disassemble an item, right click it and select "disassemble" or hold alt+left click. Disassembly is Blocked if your disassembly level is not high enough. There will be text indicating if it's possible to learn the recipe or not. If, upon disassembly, you get a message that says "Critical Success" it means you have learned the recipe. You may need to relog to see this recipe in your crafting list.

Disassembly Progression

To begin Disassembling items, start with gray, Tier 1 items at the bottom of the tree. When that node is fully unlocked you can begin progressing on green, Tier 2 weapons and Tier 2 armor. Progressing the ranks horizontally after this point will yield more materials for each item disassembled, while progressing vertically allows the disassembly of higher tier items.
