Gloria Victis has a partial loot system, which places limitations on looting players. This is different from many PvP games' full loot systems where a downed player has every single item and all his equipment stripped from his body.
The Looting System
In loot enabled areas and events, the following rules apply:
- A downed player is lootable for 30 seconds (25 seconds if he has the Fighter buff, gained by having 2,000 Nation Points)
- A downed player may be looted for 10 points worth of gear and materials per death. (see below_)
- The looting player must not be interrupted by taking damage (ranged or melee) while looting. This will reset his progress bar. He may try again, but crucial seconds will elapse.
- It takes several seconds to loot an item, making the looter vulnerable.
- Coins may not be looted
- Equipped bags may not be looted
- Equipped items MAY be looted
- When looting an item with a skin applied to it, the looter recieves the base item, not the skin.
